Hey Booskis! Happy PHAT Girl Friday!
I decided to stick my head in today and share more looks of the Victorian Style Shirt/Dress I wore for the #BloggersForBlackLives post that was published on Wednesday. The post was a very powerful one that I think became even more relevant as our country begin to absorb the fact that Donald Trump had been elected President Of The United States. Even in the midst of what was taking place with our country and the depth of the post many of you PHAT Girls wanted to know all the deets on my attire. Oh and I can’t blame you because this was a definite slay.
I have to applaud designer Wendy Striggles of the Wendy S. Collection for this look because she did her thing. I have never felt as chic and regal as I did in this piece. The details are amazing to say the least and the piece required the minimum in terms of styling and accessorizing. The shirt/dress was designed to be worn with or without pants and while Wendy also made me a pair of faux leather leggings, the Georgia heat caused me to opt out… This time!
I know I have said it before but I am going to say it again, having a seamstress or indie designer on your team is a blessing, especially for fat girls like me. As a creative creature, I dream up so many looks that I want executed, and my indie designer friends have brought them to life. Not only in that situation have indie designers provided to be vital, they have recreated looks that weren’t in my size as well as altering things to accommodate my proportions.
This dress is so stunning on you!!!!
Thanks babe!!
You look amazing. This custom piece is so regal and timeless.
Thanks love!
