FEDORA FRENZY March 18, 2014 This spring one of fashionista’s greatest accessories will be a hat. Hats have always been used to add a certain ump to wardrobes and this spring is no different. Rita Ora, Khloe Kardashian and Sarah Jessica Parker are just a few of the celebrity fashionista’s rocking their hats this spring. One of the more popular hats adorning the heads of many women are fedoras. A fedora is a low, soft felt hat with a curled brim and the crown creased lengthwise. Fedoras were once widely associated with gangsters and Prohibition, which coincided with the height of the hat’s popularity in the 1920s to early 1950s. In the second half of the 1950s, it fell out of favor due to a shift towards more informal clothing styles. However, the hat has always been associated with men who possessed a certain amount of style, like my daddy. Rather you rock them with jeans or a dress, hats are all the rave this spring, so don’t hesitate to add a few to your cart.
